OCTOBER JUMP

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was our theme for Jump this year. We had so much fun with it, where do I start? The meatball challenge was such a laugh. Everyday 4 boys and 4 girls raced against each other to see who could find the most meatballs into the flour! Yes flour!!!!
Whether you won or lost if you were playing the game your face changed coloured and texture!!!As well as our meatball challenge we had an invention challenge.
All week you folks have been designing, glueing, sticky, covering and painting all kinds of fantastic inventions. We've loved the machine that freezes sisters, a Sweetie Safe, Juicer, Parachutes, Sweet Buster, Rockets, Guitar, Cars, Hot Air Balloons, Machines you can order food from, ones that deliever your shopping, others that brings pictures to life! My goodness the creativity was second to none this week. I think we had the best inventions this year for the whole of Scotland.
On Sunday we are announcing the winning invention at our family night.
Wait and see who wins - your going to love the invention.

Jump was also filled with songs, prizes, we learned about Joseph from the Bible and how we need to trust in God through the good and hard times.

JUMP FOAM FACTORY TRIP

Thursday was a great day,
we got to go to Jump for a couple of hours,
lunch then off to Aberdeen in three 70 seater buses.
They were packed full of excited, noisy children.
When we arrived we split into seven teams, took off our shoes
and then we were all ready to enjoy all the activities.
The Foam Factory was amazing! 180 Jump Kids excited, foam balls flying,
kids running and throwing - what a laugh! .
This year we got to go onto the Climbing wall. It was massive!
23 feet high it was a long way to the top!!
Did you manage to reach the top!
We always like to take time for food. This year supper was a choice of Chicken Nuggets, Pizza, Burger or Hot Dog along with some chips. We all got a chance to top up our energy levels during the meal as well as time to chat with our friends.
Primary 1 - 3 went to Bowlingo and trampolines inbetween the Foam Factory.
It was great fun.
Primary 4 - 7 went to Lazer Tag as well as the Climbing Wall.
This year Lazer Tag was bigger and better!
What a fantastic game.

All in all we had one of the best days. Great fun, food and friendship.
I hope you guys had as good day as I had.
I think we'll do it all again next year.

Hamster Happiness

What a night, 2 goldfish, a hamster and a penguin all have new owners this evening!

Well done to everyone who won a pet tonight.

Ethan was the first person to win a pet this evening, he choose the hamster.
It's a lovely long haired hamster and he is so cute.

Ethan and Dana will do a great job looking after him.

Ben was the next person to win an animal this evening and he choose the goldfish, I'm sure we'll see a picture with him and the fish soon.

Last to win a pet this evening was Sean. It was a tough decision to decide what pet he was going to adopt. How do you pick between a shark, turtle, seal or penguin? Tough choice. Sean decided he'll like a penguin - good decision.

That's the end of the pets for this term.

Don't worry though Pets for Prizes is not over at Glo. Next term, after the October holidays Pets for Prizes will once again be happening at Glo

The semi-finals were on Sunday with Germany v France and Holland v Uruguay. I'll show you the winners later! Watoto Children's Choir @ GLO

What a fantastic evening we had a Glo on Friday.
Loads of new faces and heaps of old faces, it was so good seeing you all.
It was great having the Dagenham Kids Team at Glo, we all enjoyed listening to their stories and how God had helped them in their lives.

When the Watoto Children's Choir came on and sung I'm am not forgotten......wow....we were all joining in.

This song is so true, God has not forgotten anyone of us, He loves each one of us and knows all about us.

I hope you have a great day and remember -

You are not forgotten, God knows you and loves you.

Snowmen, Snowmen, Snowmen

Well for these two boys, another day off school today, St Fergus School is still closed!
Luke got to stay up late last night and spent sometime with his new friend, Mr Snowman.
He's got crazy hair, and a very fast sledge. Another St Fergus boy has been very busy and built a massive snowman.
Joel and Austin have done a great job with this giant snowman.
I love the hat and lights - is that what your Dad's work hat?
Looks like your putting your time to good use while the Schools off, great job boys.

NO GLO

It's a sad day
We are going to have to wait another week before Glo starts.
Some of the schools are still closed because of all the snow.
It's too dangerous for the buses to come out tonight because many of the roads have not been gritted and it's very icy.
So there is no Glo this evening.
.
There is the snow competition though. Everyone who enters the competition will get a
.
GREEN PRIZE CARD

The Cosy Igloo

There has maybe been no school but kids have been busy building snow stuff, sledging, snowball fights and eating food inbetween!
.
Ethan has sent us these photos showing us what he's been up to today
How amazing is his igloo, it's sooooooo cute and cosy.
After all his hard work (and some help from his family) he was able to sit back and chill out with his sister in his igloo while they eating their dinner.
I am so impressed.

How many folk do you think he can fit in there?

I think it would manage his whole family in his igloo, it's amazing.

Hopefully more snow will arrive during the night so you can build a snowman tomorrow.

Keep sending in your photos to Lisalyall@btconnect.com

The biggest Snow House in the Broch

This is great, we've had a friendly snowman, musical snowmen
and now we have a massive snow house.
I love it!
.
Iona can walk straight into her igloo without having to duck down
It's fantastical!

Iona has plently of room inside for some friends, i wonder how many kids she'd manage inside? Do you think she'll be sleeping in her igloo tonight?

Your doing a great job with the snow photos, keep them coming and i'll post them for all to see.

Musical Snowmen

The snow keeps falling and the Snowmen keep coming.
Check this out......
James and the snow-drummer. Matthew and the snow-guitarist.
These are great,
Remember all enteries receive a GREEN PRIZE CARD.
