Prayer Breakfast

Hi there,

It is great to see you back visiting the K-NL blog. Did you enjoy the Dalrymple Hall on Friday? We had an amazing time, it was great to see some new people along with the regulars.

Over the past two weeks we have had the privilege of the team from Sefton coming along and joining us at the Prayer Breakfast.

It was great to spend time with the boys - Mark, Marlo, August, Winston & James.
Last week we were able to split into 4 groups and learn about things in the Philippines we can pray for. The boys shared about their families back home and we prayed for them. Isn't it amazing that we can ask God to help people we don't even know!......God is so great .
The Sefton Team have gone down to England to spend some time there back heading back home to their families, please continue to pray for them and all at Sefton Village.

SEFTON VILLAGE T-SHIRTS

It's been absolutely fabulous having the team from Sefton Village come over and visit us here in Scotland.

If you were at Glo on Friday you would have met 2 of the guys and if you made the Prayer Breakfast you would of met all 5 guys including Mark.

Sefton Village t-shirts are available at Lazers, Rangers, Glo & Kids Church, today they are being modelled by Libby & Milly. Don't they just look great.

Have a look through the photos and see what design you'd like.
All money goes towards helping towards the cost of building new churches over in the Philippians.
T-shirts

GLO COMPETITION

GLO COMPETITION

Countries hosting the Olympics design the Olympic Torch. This picture shows the Bejjing Olympic Torch 2008.

This term at Glo we are hosting the GLO OLYMPICS 2008. This months competition is to design an Olympic Torch for GLO.

The competition is for you to make an Olympic Torch from anything you can find that you think i'll make a good design. We are not looking for the torch to work, so please don't light a real flame inside it - the competition is all about the design of your torch.

Olympic Torch - Sydney 2000

The final night to hand in your torches is Friday 26th of September. You can take along your homemade torch any Friday before that and we'll display it for all to see.

If you have any questions please leave them on the blog or ask at Glo on Friday.

We are hoping to have the best Olympic Torch ever, so put your thinking caps on and see what you can make.

What a night..........

Well did you make it?

Glo is back & what a start to the year.

Fun, Games, Prizes, Songs & of course most importantly a little bit about Jesus.

Do you remember what we said Jesus was?....

Yep, that's right .....Jesus is the light of the world.
Jesus is so amazing, we're going to be learning more about Him as the weeks go on. Just like light helps us to find our way around our houses, streets and towns Jesus can help us live our lives to the best.

Did you enjoy the games this evening?

Destiny did a great job and won the cup stacking event.

It was our first Glo Olympic Event. One competitor was choosen from each team, the task was to see how fast they could stack 10 cups.

Destiny holds the Glo Olympic record at the moment......I wonder what will happen next week.

Remember you can practice at home but use plastic cups.

The Toilet Roll Unrolling event was just as exciting.

It's a boy v girl event. I could believe it Bartec was so quick, well done.

He is in first place this week......again it could all change next week.

Well guys that's all for tonight. Did you enjoy Glo? I loved it. It was great seeing all you kids there having lots of fun. Keep watching the blog, the competition will be posted by Monday..............

I hope you have a great weekend,
